Kelsey Glidewell
Kelsey receives her core training with the faculty at California DanceArts where she has studied for the past ten years with Erin Holt and other notable teachers such as Yehuda Maor and Roberto Almaguer. For the past four years, Ms. Glidewell attended the Los Angeles International Ballet Intensive receiving additional study with distinguished guest faculty including Gina Ness, Molly Lynch, Israel Gabriel and Evelyn Cisneros-Legate. In 2007 and 2008, Kelsey attended the summer dance program at Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet in San Francisco.
Kelsey is a principal member of California Contemporary Youth Ballet and is an apprentice dancer with the professional company, California Contemporary Ballet. She has performed in several of the Company’s productions including principal roles in the Snow Queen. In 2007, Ms. Glidewell traveled with the Company to the Czech Republic where she performed as the featured dancer in Ms. Holt’s original ballet titled Blind Journey.
Ms. Glidewell is currently undergoing an apprenticeship as an instructor for California DanceArts and has discovered a new found love for teaching. In addition to her regular school studies and preparing for college, Ms.Glidewell is motivated toward a career in dance as a performer and instructor. Ms. Glidewell truly enjoys sharing her skill and knowledge with the children under her care.
